I searched for “The One”,
that does not exist or will ever be,
with longing’s delay guiding my frail heart,
poisoned in truth;
and wishing those words spoken,
had not been sooth,
thus my soul may be mangled utterly.
Beyond boundaries of pain,
my silent plea,
drowning in emotions of grime;
stuck somewhere,
between eternity and time,
hopelessly alone in the immense sea.
For true love is but a fleeting phase,
like a dream sourly miss;
passion fades out,
from kiss to kiss,
and betrayal sets your soul,
ablaze.
Never give all the heart,
for love to totally claim,
for it is but brief, dreamy, sweet confusion;
wisped up in a delightful,
cocktail of illusion,
revealing a lovers,
deceptive mind game.
