My mind is filled with beautiful things,
Soft light, and glimmering dark;
The allure of the unknown pulls me in,
The burning flame that fuels my spark.
Seduced by the sweet scent of destruction,
Past relationships and future sins;
Haunted by beautiful and wicked things,
My mind takes me to the edge, where darkness begins.
Life is not this innocence we pretend,
Happiness that the light has stole;
Freeing my mind that will never ever mend,
Just run your fingers through my soul.
Bright darkness, soft fading sunlight beams,
My mind goes numb from all of my scars;
Rainbows and Unicorns will never fill my dreams,
My mind drifts between the darkness of the stars.
I dream of how the orange sun, kisses the sky,
How the moon light magically pierces the dark;
I want a kiss like that, before I die,
So kiss me, and let me melt away into the dark.
This is what I see, in My Mind’s eye.
